Guatavita

Lake Guatavita is a very famous lake in Colombia for myths about gold. When deciding to go to Guatavita i was told that we had to walk for about an hour. However, no one said the walk was up a mountain. It was a nice surprise when we kept walking and the stairs kept coming. And coming. And coming.

Here I am waiting by the school with my friend Beth from England for the bus owned by the school.

Finally at Guatavita, we stopped in here for a few minutes while they gave us a quick history lesson.

The lake after we walked up the mountain.

Walking back down the mountain with everyone being silly :)

This was when we had reached the town of Guatavita, it was a small town that seemed almost deserted except fr us and some other tourists.
